Maureen O'Connor, president and principal of MOC Associates, Inc.
Maureen has consulted with a wide variety of nonprofits since 1991. In addition to
this rich and growing knowledge base, she previously served as
director of development for a $1.5 million community-based social service agency
and as director of corporate and foundation relations for a $70 million organization
with 33 centers in metropolitan Chicago.
With this diverse experience, Maureen understands the daily challenges faced by
nonprofits of all sizes—and the limited time available for important, time-intensive projects.
Maureen fills this crucial gap, drawing from a broad nonprofit and resource development background, exceptional analytical ability
and communication skills, a detailed knowledge of the funding community, experience with diverse programs and organizations,
and a proven ability to hit the ground running.
Maureen is past president of the Association of Consultants to Nonprofits. She holds a B.A. from Northwestern University, where she was
inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and a M.A. from Middlebury College, which awarded her the sole annual alumni association
scholarship for the graduate program in Madrid, Spain.
